What to do in Mauritius in October
October is ideal for everything outdoors: golf all day, hikes, boat trips and the beaches of the north. The deep-sea fishing season for marlin begins at the end of the month. In 2027, Divali, the festival of lights, falls on 29 October: oil lamps on every doorstep, best seen in the early evening in villages such as Triolet and Goodlands, a few minutes from Mont Choisy.
