The Mauritius Open 2026 at Mont Choisy Le Golf

The tournament runs over four days, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December 2026, on the par 72 championship course of Mont Choisy Le Golf, between Grand Baie and Trou aux Biches. The club announced the dates in August 2026 and said that tickets, access and the programme would be published later; we update this page as soon as they are.

Mont Choisy Le Golf is a Peter Matkovich design opened in 2017 on a former sugar cane plantation: 6,447 metres from the back tees, par 72, open volcanic ground with views of the mountains of the north. In December the course is hot and green and the wind off the coast decides the scores. Antoine Rozner won here at 19 under par in 2022, by five shots, and John Parry at 14 under in 2024.

The club describes the Open as a chance to watch top players up close. Details of tickets and spectator access are not published yet. As on most tour events, practice rounds take up the first days of the week and the four rounds run from Thursday to Sunday; arrive early in the morning, when it is cooler and the first groups go out. Bring a hat, sun cream and water: mid-December days reach around 30 degrees.

The airport is about an hour from Mont Choisy by motorway. The estate is between Trou aux Biches and Grand Baie, seven minutes from the restaurants of Grand Baie and three minutes from Mont Choisy beach. The Villa Mauritius stands on Les Allées du Golf, inside the Mont Choisy estate, a few hundred metres from the course: no road to take, no parking to find, and back at the pool between rounds. Four suites for eight guests suit a group of friends coming to watch, a sponsor's guests or a player's family. In December the rate is 2,200 euros a night for the whole house. Ask for the tournament week early: there is only one villa.
