Master suite with stone bathtub and private patio
King bed, dressing room, a bathroom carved out of volcanic stone, and a sliding door straight onto the pool terrace.
Master suite in detail
The master suite takes the north end of the bedroom wing. The bedroom is 4.3 m by 3.1 m with a king-size bed facing a large abstract canvas, a full wall of oak slats, two cream armchairs by the window and a floating oak console under an arched mirror. Grey curtains cover the sliding glass door onto the pool terrace.
The bathroom is the showpiece of the house. A bathtub carved from a single block of stone sits under a glass skylight, between two walls of dark volcanic stone. The shower has a ceiling rain head with cascade and mist settings, blue steel tiles and a brass-framed glass screen. Two travertine basins stand under a mirror with built-in light and clock. A frosted glass wall lets in daylight from the private patio while keeping it fully private.
A separate walk-in dressing room in dark wood has rails, drawers and angled shoe shelves. The suite also has its own toilet and a small private sitting patio at the corner of the house.
